The Blue Economy offers vast employment opportunities, particularly for coastal communities that depend on marine resources for their livelihoods. According to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the maritime economy already supports over 30 million jobs in Africa. By promoting Blue Economy activities, Africa can reduce poverty and improve living conditions for coastal populations.
