The Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region covers an area of 17,262 km², representing 2.43% of the total area of Morocco. It is located at the extreme northwest of the country, bordered to the north by the Strait of Gibraltar and the Mediterranean Sea, to the west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the southwest by the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region, to the southeast by the Fès-Meknès region, and to the east by the Oriental region.
